KABU (Pajhwok): Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah on Wednesday said the international community would support the conduct of transparent, fair and timely presidential election in Afghanistan.
A statement from the CEO media’s office received by Pajhwok Afghan News said Abdullah and second vice-president Sarwar Danish met with a number of donor countries’ ambassadors, representatives of UNAMA, the EU and NATO Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan at the Sapedar Palace this afternoon.
It added during the meeting, the donor countries’ ambassadors and representatives reaffirmed their support for free, fair and transparent presidential elections in Afghanistan,
CEO Dr. Abdullah thanked the donor countries for their support to Afghanistan elections and assured them that the people of Afghanistan would choose their country’s fate through a free, fair and transparent presidential ballot.
Abdullah told the meeting that the concerns of the international cooperators would be discussed on government level and after consultations, suggestions would be received in this regard.
Meanwhile, second vice president Sarwar Danish also highly appreciated the donations of the international community and donor countries to various Afghanistan sectors.
