KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) has announced a much-awaited final Wolesi Jirga elections results from capital Kabul with some changes.
The Wolesi Jirga elections were held on October 20 and 21 nationwide except Ghazni and Kandahar provinces. The elections in Kandahar were held a week later.
According to the final results, Haji Ajmal Rahmani, Abdul Qayum Khairkhwa, Khan Agha Rezaee, Mullah Mohammad Khan Ahmadi, Fida Mohammad Ulfat Saleh, Ahmad Javid Jaihon, Mir Amanullah Guzar, Amir Gul Shaheen, Ghulam Hussain Naseri, Dr. Ramazan Bashardost, Sayed Mohammad Mohammadi, Allah Gul Mujahid, Khan Mohammad Wardak, Qazi Mir Afghan Safi, Najibullah Nasir, Habib Rahman Sayyaf, Anwar Khan Oriakhel, Abdul Raziq Istalifi and Tawfiq Wahdat made to Wolesi Jirga in the final list.
Also Haji Zargai Habibi, Mohammad Naeem Wardak, Haji Hafizullah Jalili, Erfanullah Erfan, Obaidullah Kalimzai Wardak, Fatima Nazari, Gen. Nazifa Zaki, Shenkai Kharokhel, Mursal Nabizada, Fuzia Naseryar, Robina Jalali, Mariam Sama, Zuhra Noorzai and Parveen Durrani also found their ways to the lower house.
However, Ahmad Zia Azimi Shinozada, Ajmal Gulab, Farhad Sidiqi and Salema Nekbeen dropped from the final list as they had been announced winners in initial list and Erfanullah Erfan, Abdul Raziq Istalifi, Mohammad Naeem Wardak and Parveen Durrani replaced them.
Meanwhile, Wolesi Jirga secretariat announced that the representatives of Kabul and Paktia provinces would be introduced during a ceremony in Presidential Palace with presence of President Ashraf Ghani at 10:00 am in the morning.
