KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Monday announced transferring over 1.7 million biometric votes so far to its main server.
IEC Commissioner Rahima Zarifi told reporters here so far 1,737,078 biometric votes from 22,588 voting booths had been transferred to the central server while votes from 4,000 more booths were processed and being transferred to the central server.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The transfer of sensitive electoral materials from all 34 provinces to the central office of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) in Kabul is complete and the subsequent tabulation of the ballot papers are ongoing smoothly. Some candidate agents and citizen observers, however, are not pleased with the process of uploading results data to the main server system.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations on Sunday asked all stakeholders and actors to demonstrate their commitment to completing the presidential election process in a credible manner
Election bodies, political parties, the government, candidates and their supporters were urged to protect the integrity of the process, especially with regard to tabulating and announcing the results.

KABUL (Pajhwok): Three political parties on Sunday demanded that non-biometric votes cast in the September 28 presidential polls should be counted, but the Independent Election Commission (IEC) rejected their demand as illegal.
The primary result of the September 28 polls in which 16 candidates took part is expected to be announced on October 19 while the final result would be announced on November 7.
