KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Some provincial council members, tribal elders and religious scholars on Sunday slammed as illegal a protest movement by two lawmakers and their supporters against the governor of southern Khost province.
Maulvi Sardar Mohammad, the Mujahideen Unity Council head in Khost, said the protest led by Kamal Nasir Osuli and Humayun, was unlawful. They claimed there were gunmen in the protest camp in front of the governor’s house.

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Some provincial council (PC) members on Tuesday accused the governor of southeastern Khost province of incompetency and administrative corruption, but others rejected their allegations.
Some PC members joined by two lawmakers Humayun and Kamal Nasir Osoli addressed a press conference in Khost City, the provincial capital, calling for the provincial leadership to be replaced.

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): The southeastern Khost is one of the richest provinces in terms of natural resources, officials said.
Copper, murqury, plumbum and chromite reservoirs could be found in huge quanity elsewhere in the volatile Khost.
The sites of chromite mines had been noticed in parts of the province,officals said,complaining the illegal extraction and smuggling of the precious was underway by local groups.

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Acting governor of southeastern Khost province on Saturday said 80% government institutions got proper buildings, which would intensify progress and development of the area.
Abdul Jabbar Naeemi expressed the views while inaugurating an uplift project in Khost City, the provincial capital. Five years back, he recalled, 60 percent of government offices operated in private houses.
