Tarinkot (PAN): Residents of the provincial capital and districts demand of the government to do more to further develop and promote the vital education and health sectors, fearing that both the sectors experience downward trend.
A resident of Tarinkot said the available public hospital in the city does not afford to provide the needed services, forcing many people to shift their patients to Kandahar or Pakistan where they face immense problems.

Tarinkot (PNA): People of Urozgan complain of fast-spreading security elsewhere in the province despite the deployment of Afghan Local Police (ALP).
The people of Tarinkot city and other districts demand of the government to launch a decisive move to flush out the armed and militant groups to ensure security in the area.
Hailing from Charchino district, Haji Ibrahim told Pajhwok Afghan News that his locality is in grip of deteriorated law and order and insecurity. “Taliban openly roam brandishing weapons and travel without any fear of government,” he informed.

Tarinkot (PAN): Though some development and rehabilitation projects have been implemented in Uruzgan, the province is still far backward in terms of advanced infrastructure, health and education.
These views were expressed by the province’s authorities and its residents. Residents says that roads linking the provincial capital to districts are in dilapidated condition, and they face immense trouble when shift their patients to the capital for medical treatment.

Trainkot (PAN): The economy of 98% people of Uruzgan depends on agriculture and livestock but due to government reluctance to develop the sectors, the financial miseries of the people multiply dramatically, officials and residents said.
Sardar Mohammad Alako, provincial head of agriculture and livestock department said majority of the people are associated with the occupation of agriculture and livestock but a matter of concern is that there is not suitable market for their products.

Tarinkot (PAN): Following people widespread complains that education sector is in shambles in Uruzgan, officials of the province’s education department reassured that strategy has been finalized to remove obstacles hampering the progress of the vital sector.
Providing minute details regarding functional education institutions in his province, Habib-u-Rahman, acting head of education department said that the province has 48 high, 37 intermediate and 199 primary schools with another 12 Madrassas, Dar-ul-Hifaz and 53 literacy outlets.

1.      National Radio of Uruzgan,
The National Radio started its broadcasts in Uruzgan in 2001. The radio has 14- hours broadcasts with one hour news presentation from Kabul and half an hour from Ashna Television. The radio’s broadcasts were halted following a suicide attack two years back, however it started airing programs later.
2 – Voice of Uruzgan:

There is only one civil society, functioning in Uruzgan province.
1.      Tarinkot Civil Society Association:
The Tarinkot Civil Society Association has kicked off its activities last year. It has only six members. Headed by Basir Sadat, the association holds meetings to discuss problems being faced by the youth and then convey to the government to explore measures to resolve their issues at the earliest. 

Also pronounced as Rozgan or Uruzganis, the province of Uruzgan is among 34 provinces, which is located in central Afghanistan.
Uruzgan is surrounded by Daikundi, Zabul, Helmand and Ghazni provinces. Considered as a central province, Kandahar and Zabul are located to its south, Helmand to the southwest, Daikundi in the north while Ghazni is situated to its east.

The Uruzgan provincial council has nine members. One of them is new member while the rests are served in the previous terms as well.
1-Muhammad Hanif Khan Hanafi:
Muhammad Hanif Khan Hanafi is the son of Muhammad Rafiq, Hanafi belongs to Qatahi village of Khas-Uruzgan district of central Uruzgan province. Born in 1962, Hanafi served as member of upper house of parliament in its first period. He also served as a leading tribe elder. He has bachelor degree in teachers’ training.
2-Muhammad Zahir Khan Naderi:

Uruzgan province has eight administrative units including the capital, Tarinkot. Earlier, the province had six districts but recently two more district are created bring its number to eight.
Dihrawood, Chora, Gizab, Charchino and Khas Uruzgan are the districts, Tarinkot, the capital, while Chinarto and Surab districts are the two new districts, which status as a district is yet to be officially recognized.
