MAHMODRAQI (Pajhwok): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Saturday arrived in central Kapisa province and participated in a huge meeting of local people and representatives in Mahmodraqi, the provincial capital.
The president accompanied by a number of cabinet members and security officials arrived today afternoon in the provincial capital.
Kapisa provincial council head Hussain Sanjani who also participated at the gathering said that some economic projects previously launched in the province were remained incomplete from the past few years.
He asked the president to construct a building for Albironi University in Kapisa and increase the number of Afghan Local Police (ALP) personnel for improved law and order situation in the mountainous province.
A number of other residents in the meeting also asked the president to take steps to improve security situation and implement development projects in their province.
The president would also respond to local people’s and government officials’ questions in the meeting.
A week ago, President Ashraf Ghani on the head of a high-level delegation had traveled to eastern Nangarhar province and responded to people’s questions in a similar meeting.
